Lise’s Dewey Dress
Lise is holiday party-ready in her fabulously festive red stretch velvet Dewey! She made hers in a size 12 G/H graded to a 16 at the waist and hips. She also lengthened the bodice by 2 inches and shortened the skirt by 4 inches. Glammed up with a black belt, black stockings and heels, she’s sure to make an entrance at any occasion.
Her measurements are 38” high bust, 42” full bust, 36” waist, and 46” hips.
Here’s what Lise had to say about her Dewey Dress:
“It was an easy sew. The pattern suits this festive fabric well, and will be my Christmas dress.”

Tia’s Dewey Dress
A velvety delight is how we like to describe Tia’s Dewey Dress. Versatile, fashionable, and comfortable, Tia is happy with her Dewey and is looking forward to wearing it for a variety of occasions. She sewed hers in a size 26 C/D graded to a 30 at the waist and hip, and shortened the length of the skirt by about 3″. She chose a dramatic moss colored stretch velvet and used the Grafton relaxed fit bodice to put her own personal spin on it.
Her measurements are 50” high bust, 54” full bust, 50” waist, and 60” hips.
Tia shared this about her Dewey Dress:
“It was pretty straight forward, extremely comfortable. I want to wear it around the house doing chores.”

Angelee’s Dewey Dress

Her measurements are 42” high bust, 44” full bust, 37” waist, and 47” hips.
Here’s what Angelee had to say about her Dewey Dress:
“The instructions were detailed and well written.”

Nicole’s Dewey Dress
Nicole’s suede Dewey Dress is giving us rich textured autumn vibes and we can’t get enough! Sewn in a size 14 E/F and graded to an 18 at the waist and hips, Nicole took her personalization one step further and sewed hers with sleeves from the Grafton. (The Grafton sleeves aren’t officially designed to be used on the Dewey’s sleeveless bodice, but if you’re up for a little hacking challenge, you can make it work!)
Her measurements are 38” high bust, 42” full bust, 38” waist, and 46” hips.
Nicole shared this about her Dewey Dress:
“I love the Dewey Dress. It is so my style of autumn dress. The instructions were very clear, and the lined bodice is very beautiful. The pleats are gorgeous and the length is perfect for me. I used the sleeves from the Grafton and lowered the armscye by 1 inch. I feel very classy and chic in the dress.”

I have downloaded the Dewey. What pattern would give me some sleeve options? I really like the butterfly sleeve.
Hi Jo Anne, you could try using the sleeves from the Grafton like Nicole did in this blog post, but it’s not exactly designed to be used in that way, so it would require adjusting the armscye a bit.
Or you could use the skirt from the Dewey with any of the bodices and sleeves from the Grafton.
