Cashmerette Club: Meet the Westmore Cardigan, the Club Pattern for March!

Fall in love with the Westmore Cardigan! This month’s Cashmerette Club pattern is the layering piece your wardrobe has been waiting for.

This is a past Cashmerette Club pattern, which you can download instantly today as a Cashmerette Club member on our yearly All Access level! To learn more and sign up, click here.

We recently polled our Cashmerette Club members about their dream cardigan. We heard from many of you that you love waterfall-style cardigans, but they never fit quite right over your curves. So we’re thrilled to bring you a waterfall cardigan that doesn’t totally overwhelm a full bust or droop to the sides! It’s perfect for layering over dresses or tops and jeans, and comes with an alternate faced front and inseam pockets for more options.

The Westmore comes in sizes 0-32 and cup sizes C-H and is available exclusively to Cashmerette Club members. Not a member yet? Join today for as little as $9 (cancel anytime).

Jenny is wearing View A of the Westmore in a size 18 E/F paired with a Grafton Dress. Her measurements are 43″ high bust, 47″ full bust, 39″ hips, and 44″ waist, and she is 5′ 6″.

Angela is wearing View B of the Westmore in a size 12 C/D graded to a size 16 at the waist and hips. Her measurements are 37″ high bust, 39″ full bust, 35″ waist, and 45″ hips, and she is 5′ 3″.

Meet the Westmore Cardigan

Designed for curves, comfort, and style, the Westmore features:

  • Curve-friendly shoulder princess seams in the front and the back
  • Two front styles: a beautifully cascading waterfall or a sleek faced front with a rolled shawl collar
  • Cozy long sleeves
  • Open front with no closure, which means no pesky buttonholes to sew
  • Flared hemline that hits at mid-thigh
  • Optional inseam pockets that are fully supported—no droopy pockets here!

The Westmore is rated beginner, and you can sew your first Westmore with ease thanks to our free step-by-step video sewalong, hosted by Mari of Sew Happy.

The Westmore is designed for mid- to heavyweight knit fabrics such as ponte, double knit, or sweater knits with at least 10% stretch horizontally.

Jenny is wearing a Westmore in a sweater double knit and Angela is wearing a Westmore in a rayon/spandex ponte.

Also New in the Club this Month: Masterclass & Live Event

Club members in the Plus and All Access tiers get a new fitting masterclass every month! This month, Jenny is diving into hip fitting. How a garment fits your hips can affect how you move, sit, and look in the garment. So if you’ve struggled to figure out the right adjustments for your hips in the past, this masterclass is for you.

Plus and All Access members also get access to this month’s live event. This month, we’re talking all things sloper! What is a sloper? How do you get it to fit, and most importantly—how do you use it?! If you have a question about slopers, Jenny’s here to help.

Head to the Club dashboard to learn more and register to attend. Can’t make it live? This event will be recorded and shared with members afterward.

Let’s start sewing!
