With an array of bodice, neckline, sleeve and skirt options there’s no limit to your Grafton looks. It’s a pattern that can literally do it all.

Here are a variety of different Grafton Tops & Skirts that you can use to inspire your own look!

Amanda A’s Grafton Top

Amanda can’t get enough of the fit of her Grafton Top and honestly, neither can we. She sewed her Grafton up in a size 18 C/D using a vibrant pink tencel/modal jersey, and the fit is fabulous. The bishop sleeves are the pièce de résistance of this Grafton that has quickly become a wardrobe staple.

Her measurements are 42” high bust, 46” full bust, 36” waist, and 47” hips.

Amanda had this to say about her Grafton Top:

“Working out what to sew with the Grafton pattern is so much fun! I started with the fitted top as a base and combined it Voltron style (hi fellow 80s kids!) with the scoop neckline and bishop sleeves. I was worried about calculating the fabric requirements but this was super easy thanks to quick reference tables and suggested cutting layouts. I love the fit on this tee—especially the built in FBA and the perfect scoop depth—and it has already become a wardrobe staple!”

Kelsey’s Grafton Top

Blown away by the abundance of options that the Grafton provides, Kelsey was finally able to narrow down what she wanted to sew—a go-to basic tee sewn in a brown ribbed jersey that can be paired with almost anything. Whether foraging in the forest, at the office, or out and about on the town, she now has the perfect knit top and more on the way!

Kelsey sewed hers in a size 6 C/D and her measurements are 33” high bust, 35” full bust, 27” waist, and 38” hips.

Kelsey had this to say about her Grafton Top:

“There are SO many options… you could really sew all your future knit makes from this pattern. Once I finally narrowed down the version I wanted, it was pretty straightforward to prepare the pieces and sew. Honestly, it’s my new go-to basic tee now and I can see myself coming back to this pattern again and again for all my knit projects.”

Amanda’s Grafton Top & Skirts

“Perfect basic” is how Amanda describes her two Grafton skirts and paired with her charming chartreuse square neck Grafton Top, Amanda’s Grafton outfits are on-point. She sewed her top in a size 20 G/H and chose a neon chartreuse bamboo rib knit with a natural colored knit for the lining, which she modified to be a built in shelf bra (genius!). Both skirts are a size 22. For the first she went with a navy organic cotton with fun white birds, while the other fabric is a navy mystery blend. We always love a good fabric mystery! Amanda truly enjoyed this quick make and especially loves the beautiful end result!

Her measurements are 45” high bust, 51” full bust, 41” waist, and 50” hips.

Amanda shared this about her Grafton Top & Skirt:

“The Grafton Skirt came together unbelievably fast. I made the A-line skirt knee length but shortened 3 inches. I love a project that is satisfying and results in something lovely. The Grafton sleeveless square neck was a bit fiddly around the corners but probably would’ve been easier on my machine versus on the serger. I adore the way the neckline looks one me! And the skirt is a perfect basic.”

Preeti’s Grafton Top

Preeti is stylish and sophisticated in her dark green Grafton Top. She chose a fabulous scoop neckline and bishop sleeves that give this top a polished look that can be paired with jeans, trousers, or a skirt. She enjoyed this make and can’t wait to make more Graftons. We can’t either!

Preeti made a size 8 E/F graded to a 12 at the waist. Her measurements are 36” high bust, 40” full bust, 33” waist, 38” hips.

Preeti had this to say about her Grafton Top:

“This pattern is so much fun! I can’t wait to make up about 5 more.”

Caroline W’s Grafton Top & Skirt

We’re fall outfit dreaming with Caroline who decided to craft an entire Grafton cool weather perfect outfit. They sewed their top in a size 24 C/D and chose a perfectly purple tencel/cotton/spandex lightweight fleece to create cozy sweater vibes. For their skirt they chose a lovely floral cotton/spandex lightweight French terry and sewed it in a size 24. Reminded of how much fun sewing with knits can be, Caroline’s Grafton project ended up being fast, easy, and immensely enjoyable, just the way we like a Cashmerette make to be.

Their measurements are 49” high bust, 52” full bust, 45” waist, and 55” hips.

Here’s what Caroline had to say about their Grafton Top & Skirt:

“Sewing the Grafton reminded me how fun sewing with knits is! The projects were fast and easy and the resulting garments are so comfy and a dream to wear. I think this turtleneck is going to be my go-to top this fall/winter!”

The only other knit pattern I will ever have to buy during my lifetime would be for athletic or ponte knit pants. This pattern is truly outstanding! I just can’t thank you enough.

  2. Caroline says:

I love the pink version of Grafton that Amanda made! Are her pants also a Cashmerette pattern, or would she be able to tell me where she got them, as they are EXACTLY what I have been looking for!

Let me know what you think!
