The Lenox Shirtdress has been a best-selling pattern ever since it launched: everyone knows that sewists love a shirtdress.
So I’m thrilled to tell you that today we’re launching the Lenox Shirtdress Expansion Pack which gives you more fit and style options for the Lenox, and makes full bicep sleeve adjustments a thing of the past!
The expansion pack features:
- A full bicep version of the short sleeve that comes with the original pattern
- A long sleeve with a continuous placket and button cuff – in standard and full bicep versions
- And a sleeveless bodice with a fantastic non-gape armscye, in cups C/D, E/F and G/H.
Here’s the long sleeve version: it makes an awesome transitional dress as we head into Fall in the northern hemisphere.
And, if you usually find woven sleeves restrictive, use the included full bicep piece for more room!
Prefer the look of a sleeveless shirtdress? Then swap the original bodice for our new sleeveless bodice:
You may be thinking “huh, can’t I just leave the sleeves off the regular bodice?!”. Sadly, it doesn’t work like that, because the armscyes and shoulders of sleeved and sleeveless garments are different – if you just leave sleeves off, you’ll have a gaping armscye that’s jutting out too far over your shoulder.
Instead, we re-drafted the bodice with sleeveless armscyes which means you get this beautiful, no-gape, result:
The Lenox Shirtdress Expansion Pack is available as a PDF package, which includes Print-At-Home files, as well as CopyShop files that work in the US and the rest of the world.
Just pick the pieces you want to add to your Lenox Shirtdress, and you’ll have them in no time!
You’ll need the original Lenox Shirtdress pattern, and there is guidance in the instructions for the additional fabric and buttons needed for each variation.
If you’re a Lenox fan, I hope you’re excited about the new possibilities ahead. As always, at Cashmerette we’re dedicated to taking the fuss out of fitting and giving you options, and I can’t wait to see what you make!
