The weather is cooling down here, so it’s time to sew some cozy hoodies. Let’s get inspired!

Theresa’s Stanton Hoodie

Theresa’s floral Stanton Hoodie dress is as cute as it is comfortable! She made her Stanton out of a loop back French terry with a ribbed jersey lining and tubular ribbing cuffs and hem band.

Theresa made a size 8 E/F and graded to a 10 in the waist and 12 in the hips. Her measurements are 34″ high bust, 38″ full bust, 31″ waist, and 42 hip.

Theresa shared this about her Stanton:

“This dress is ridiculously comfortable, and I feel adorable in it. I can really see this dress working well as a transitional piece and looking equally cute paired with tights and boots. I’ve been loving the sweatshirt dress trend and am so happy that I can finally join in with a pattern that actually fits!”

Whitney’s Stanton Hoodies

Ever the prolific sewist, Whitney whipped up not one but two Stanton Hoodies! She made a half zip sweatshirt in a faux cotton sherpa and a dress in a French terry.

Whitney made her Stantons in a size 10 G/H graded to a 12 in the waist, and shortened the half zip by 1″ and the dress by 2″ to accommodate her height. Her measurements are 36″ high bust, 41″ full bust, 33″ waist, and 36″ hip, and she is 5′ 2″.

Here’s what Whitney had to say about the Stanton:

“I find the Stanton to be the most flattering sweatshirt on a full bust and this expansion pattern has just stretched that fabulous pattern even more. Not are both of my garments comfortable, but the flattering fit makes me feel equally polished and put together!”

Basma’s Stanton Hoodie

Basma made her Stanton Hoodie dress in a sweatshirt fleece knit with contrast details and ribbing. She made a size 30 G/H and her measurements are 52″ high bust, 57″ full bust, 51″ waist, and 62″ hip.

Here’s what Basma shared about her Stanton:

“Once I had all the pieces, the sewing was a breeze and the resulting sweater dress is so beautiful and cozy!”

Preeti’s Stanton Hoodie

Preeti is ready for fall in her cozy Stanton! She used French terry to create her half-zip sweatshirt.

Preeti made a size 10 G/H. Her measurements are 36″ high bust, 40″ full bust, 33″ waist, and 38″ hip.

Here’s what Preeti said about the Stanton:

“I really enjoyed making the Stanton Expansion. The half-zip construction is genius and the clear instructions made it easy. The hoodie is very comfortable to wear. I will use it a lot this fall.”

Tegan’s Stanton Hoodie

Tegan used a poly/rayon brushed sweater knit for her Stanton Hoodie dress, which will be perfect for the mild winters where she lives.

Tegan graded from a size 24 in the shoulders to a 30 G/H in the bust and used the full bicep sleeve option, with an inch added to the sleeves and two inches to the body to accommodate her height. Her measurements are 46″ high bust, 60″ full bust, 50″ waist, and 60″ hip, and she is 5′ 9″.

Tegan said this about the Stanton:

“I really enjoyed the construction of it, interesting seam lines always draw me in! I was also really pleased with the faux flat-felled seam finishing technique used in the pattern, it made for really smooth and flat seams (which was especially impressive with the brushed sweater knit).”

Marissa’s Stanton Hoodie

Last but not least is Marissa’s bubble gum Stanton! She made a half zip sweatshirt in French terry with a cute contrast collar lining.

Marissa made a size 4 C/D. Her measurements are 33″ high bust, 34″ full bust, 28″ waist, and 37″ hip.

Here’s what Marissa said about her Stanton:

This is my second Stanton Hoodie and I really enjoyed the process of sewing it. Cashmerette’s sewing instructions are so helpful, the zipper insertion was a piece of cake. And the seams matching up as the hoodie came together was so satisfying! I love wearing my new hoodie; the slightly cropped length showcases my high waisted jeans.”
