If you’ve got big boobs, it’s natural to want real support even when you’re at the beach or pool. But those measly shelf bras in most swimsuits quiver in the face of a bodacious bust! So I’m thrilled to introduce the Truro Swimsuit, this month’s Cashmerette Club pattern: a fully lined one-piece with an integrated wireless foam bra built right in, in sizes 28C to 54J. That’s proper engineered bust support, tucked discreetly inside a beautiful swimsuit, no underwires required.

And because we love giving you options, the Truro comes with two neckline choices (medium and low scoop), two leg cut options (lower and higher), a low scoop back, and an optional bra clasp for easy on-and-off. From serious laps to serious lounging, the Truro has you (and your boobs) covered.

The Truro is designed for spandex or lycra with 4 way stretch (75%+ across the grain and 50%+ along the grain). The lining is designed for lightweight swim lining fabrics with 4 way stretch (75%+ across the grain and 50%+ along the grain), and the back band can be made with swimsuit fabric or power-net with at least 50% stretch in one direction.

More from the Club this Month
Does your waist tilt down or up when you look at yourself from the side? You’re not alone! A tilted waist is very common, but can cause challenges when you’re fitting garments. In this month’s new Fitting University class I help you identify a tilted waist and then show you different approaches to adjusting your patterns for a level result.
Then join me live on Wednesday, July 22 at 3pm EDT (12pm PDT, 8pm BST, July 23rd @ 5am AEST) to chat all about capsule wardrobes! A capsule wardrobe is a great idea – but how do you actually make it happen? I’ll share my ideas for creating a capsule wardrobe for a trip, a season, or your whole life using Cashmerette Club patterns!

Picture it: you’re at the pool, impressing the kids with a cannonball, and your boobs stay exactly where they’re meant to be. Revolutionary stuff! Tag us in your Truros — we can’t wait to see.

I have made a bazillion suits in my time for water aerobics. If you regularly swim in a chlorine pool you need one about every 3 to 4 months. This pattern has all the features most women want – higher back and neck and lower cut legs! Well done. If I still did water aerobics I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
Two suggestions (which you may probably already have in your pattern).: 1) Line the WHOLE suit using regular swimsuit lycra rather than the “lining” fabric. Extra support, no seams against your skin. 2) You don’t necessarily need to insert a bra if you line it this way. (I am a size F\G cup.).
Also the ad that came in my email has done some weird shrink thing that makes all your photos look shorter and wider. This might be my device but you might want to check.
I struggle to buy swimsuits because I have a long torso, in addition to being plus size with big boobs. I own a two-piece that was fitted at a specialist lingerie store, but it’s not very comfortable. This is my dream pattern and I can’t wait to sew it up so that I can finally get back in the pool again! I am literally crying tears of joy right now!
