The supportive Truro Swimsuit has made its debut, and our makers dove right in! Read on to get inspired to sew your own swimwear.

Make a splash with the seriously supportive Truro Swimsuit! This fully lined one-piece features an integrated wireless bra in sizes 28C to 54J, delivering bust support that goes way beyond what a shelf bra could ever offer. Choose your favorite neckline (higher or lower scoop) and leg cut (higher or lower) to design your perfect swimsuit. The optional bra back clasp makes getting in and out easier, so you can spend less time wrestling with wet spandex and more time actually enjoying the water. The result is a swimsuit you can actually move in, lounge in, and wear with confidence all summer long.

Leinin’s Truro Swimsuit

Leinin sewed her Truro in a jacquard knit swimwear fabric (get it here if you’re as obsessed with it as we are) and made a matching swim skirt and sheer cover-up. The completed look is simply divine!

Leinin told us this about her swimsuit:

“I LOVE the final garment. I never knew I could be so in love with a bathing suit. It has ruined all other bathing suits for me! I have never felt so supported and comfortable in a bathing suit.”

Leinin made a size 18 E/F with a 40 E/F bra and graded to a size 22 at the waist and a size 26 at the hip. She also added 3″ (7.5 cm) to the length for her height. Her measurements are 46″ (117 cm) full bust, 40″ (102 cm) underbust, 42″ (107 cm) waist, and 56″ (142 cm) hip.

Marianne’s Truro Swimsuit

For her Truro, Marianne used a swim fabric in an adorable floral print that reminded her of her childhood bedsheets. She made a size 6 E/F with a 30E bra and graded to an 8 at the waist, and her measurements are 36″ (91 cm) full bust, 30″ (76 cm) underbust, 29″ (74 cm) waist, and 37″ (94 cm) hip.

Here’s what she told us about her Truro:

“I feel very happy with it! I have never been able to buy a one-piece swimsuit that feels supportive in the bust or in my preferred color or style. I had given up on this and had a total spark seeing this pattern! I love the high neck and the lower back, and the higher cut leg (from what I’ve seen, most RTW supportive swimsuits go either totally full-coverage or more revealing overall and I really liked getting to choose a mix of both!)”

Stacie’s Truro Swimsuit

Stacie sewed her Truro in an abstract swim print and combined the lower neckline with the lower leg cut. She made a size 32 C/D with a 46DD bra  and her measurements are 57″ (145 cm) full bust, 50″ (127 cm) underbust, 54″ (137 cm) waist, and 64″ (163 cm) hip.

Stacie shared this about her Truro:

“I think the hold of the bra is perfect! Literally, nothing moves. Plus, it’s back smoothing. It’s so good!”

Leeann’s Truro Swimsuit

For her Truro, Leanne used a camo print swim fabric and paired the higher neckline with the higher cut legs. She made a size 12 G/H with a 34G bra, and her measurements are 42″ (107 cm) full bust, 34″ (86 cm) underbust, 34″ (86 cm) waist, and 41″ (104 cm) hip.

Leeann said this about her Truro:

“I love it! I especially love sewing swimwear but have struggled to find patterns that have inclusive cup sizes that are supportive. Wow this suit does not disappoint. It’s so comfortable. I kind of want to wear it all the time.”

She also plans to make other Truros to wear as bodysuits with shorts.

Whether you’re after full bust support for laps or lounging, you can make the Truro your own. We can’t wait to see what you create!
