Do you ever find yourself wearing a ready-to-wear garment because you love the style, even though it doesn’t actually fit? I’ve been obsessed with this mixed-media ready-to-wear dress, but the fit issues have always bugged me: tight armholes, the wrong height waistline, and tight over the bust (not to mention I’m in the largest size). But I realized that at Cashmerette, we could make this style, fix those issues, introduce more variations AND make it way more size inclusive.

So I’m thrilled to introduce the Duxbury Dress, this month’s Cashmerette Club pattern: the casual, just-throw-it-on, mixed knit-and-woven dress style I love, now perfected for curves. Get yours instantly when you join the Club today!

The Duxbury has a fitted knit bodice with waist darts, a gathered below-the-knee woven skirt with generous pockets, two neckline options (jewel and U), and sleeveless or elbow-length sleeve options. Oh, AND it mixes and matches with all the patterns in the Grafton Top, Dress & Skirt line! You’re spoiled for choice in the best possible way.

More From the Club This month

This month, we’ve got three new lessons in Fitting University focused on fitting the upper chest, including how to do a wide and narrow upper chest adjustment and a hollow chest adjustment. Whether you find garments too tight, too baggy or simply the wrong shape, I’ll help you diagnose and fix your problem!

Then join me live on Wednesday, June 10 at 3pm EST (12pm PDT, 8pm BST, June 11th @ 5am AEST) to chat all about seam finishes! Finishing seams well is make-or-break for a fantastic garment, but how do you know which one is suitable for your next make? This month, I’ll be taking you through how to evaluate the pros and cons of each option, no matter what machines or tools you already have.

Much as I loved my original dress, it was pretty flawed so I’m thrilled that now I can make my own in its much improved design!
