The Inman Top & Dress is here! With its chic v-neckline and delicate rouleau button loops, the Inman is a truly elevated piece with none of the gaping. Take a look at how these seven makers put their own spin on the Inman!

Romantic details meet curve-friendly fit in the Inman Top & Dress! Choose between a versatile top or a dress with fisheye darts for elegant shaping, then top it off with a sweet short puff sleeve or a showstopping long bishop sleeve with elasticated facing—or use the sleeves from our popular Montrose Top and Alton Blouse for even more options! All the pretty details, none of the gaping—what’s not to love?

Shereé’s Inman Top

Shereé used a cotton lawn print to make her delightful Inman Top. Her absolute favorite moment in the sewing process? Pressing back the facing to reveal those perfect little rouleau button loops. “It was so satisfying,” she told us.

Shereé made a size 8 C/D, and her measurements are 34″ (86 cm) high bust, 36.5″ (93 cm) full bust, 30″ (76 cm) waist, and 37″ (94 cm) hip.

Courtney’s Inman Dress

Courtney is bringing serious drama with her color-blocked Inman Dress (featuring the Montrose Top sleeves), combining an electric lime linen-viscose body with a leopard-print contrast at the sleeves and skirt hem. The result is bold, joyful, and completely her own.

Courtney made a size 20 G/H with a 2.5″ full bust adjustment, graded to a size 30 waist and 32 hip. Her measurements are 44.5″ (113 cm) high bust, 52.5″ (133 cm) full bust, 50″ (128 cm) waist, and 61.5″ (156 cm) hip.

Liz’s Inman Top

Liz committed to a theme — that’s what sewing your own clothes is all about! She made the long-sleeve Inman Top in a cotton poplin covered in tiny croissants, then found croissant-shaped buttons to match. Now she just needs a croissant-shaped bag to complete the outfit!

Liz told us this about her Inman:

“I love it, zero gaping and the fit is really good at the front, no pulling. I know that I’m wearing to brunch!”

Liz made a size 22 G/H graded to a size 26 at the waist. Her measurements are 47″ (119 cm) high bust, 53″ (135 cm) full bust, 46″ (117 cm) waist, and 60″ (152 cm) hip.

DeJanee’s Inman Dress

DeJanee took the Inman Dress and made it her own in the most delightful way — adding six godets to the skirt, side ties, and shortening the hem by 4″ for a fun summery mini dress. She sewed it in a drapey polyester that moves beautifully with the godets.

DeJanee made a size 12 C/D graded to a size 10 at the hips. Her measurements are 34″ (86 cm) high bust, 38″ (97 cm) full bust, 30″ (76 cm) waist, and 42″ (107 cm) hip.

Elisa’s Inman Top

Elisa made her Inman Top with the Montrose’s elbow-length sleeves in a floral rayon challis — a perfect match for the Inman’s romantic silhouette. Sewing rouleau loops was new to Elisa and she found a clever workaround: use a thin crochet hook instead of a loop turner to turn the loops right-side out. Genius!

Elisa made a size 18 C/D and her measurements are  42″ (107 cm) high bust, 45″ (115 cm) full bust, 39″ (99 cm) waist, and 40″ (101 cm) hip.

Kaysi’s Inman Top

Kaysi chose the short-sleeve view of the Inman Top and sewed it up in a gorgeous cotton poplin Art Gallery print — and it looks so polished and professional. She made a size 26 E/F bust graded to a size 32 waist, and her measurements are 51″ (130 cm) high bust, 55″ (140 cm) full bust, 51″ (130 cm) waist, and 55″ (140 cm) hip.

A newbie to sewing rouleau loops, Kaysi told us this:

“Absolutely loved learning how to make rouleau loops! At first I was really intimidated, because I’ve never made anything like it (I’ve never made anything with buttons at all), but the instructions were clear and I love the way they look.”

Tami’s Inman Dress

Tami customized her pink linen Inman Dress by leaving off the sleeves and binding the armholes with bias tape. She plans to style it with a mesh black turtleneck, sheer black tights, and knee-high boots — a moody, fashion-forward look perfect for chilly weather.

Tami made a size 16 C/D and her measurements are 41″ (104 cm) full bust, 36″ (91 cm) waist, and 46″ (117 cm) hip
