Can you believe it’s been 10 years since I started Cashmerette? Ten whole years of helping curvy sewists create wardrobes that actually fit, one pattern at a time—and now Cashmerette is a whole team of us! To celebrate this milestone, I decided it was time for a little makeover—not just any makeover, mind you, but one that makes your sewing life easier while giving us a fresh new look that better reflects who we’ve become.
So today, I’m absolutely thrilled to introduce you to our brand new website!
Don’t worry—this is still the same Cashmerette you know and love. The same great patterns designed for curves from day one, the same awesome Club and community, and the same team behind the scenes helping you every step of the way. Just… better!
What’s New? Let Me Show You Around!
First things first: we have a lovely new logo and fresh colors to move us on from those 2015 days (remember when every sewing pattern company had a hand-written script logo? We definitely got on that bandwagon). But this isn’t just a visual refresh—the real improvements are in how much easier we’ve made it to find exactly what you need. Plus, you now get even more when you purchase a pattern for us—more coming on that soon!
All Our Patterns in One Place
Over the years we’ve launched standalone patterns, Club exclusives, and patterns in our books, but they lived in different corners of our website. Not exactly helpful when you’re trying to see everything we offer, right?
Those days are over! Now you can find ALL our sewing patterns in one place—whether they’re from our Collection, exclusive Cashmerette Club patterns, or from our books. Everything is clearly labeled so you know exactly what type each pattern is. Want to see just our standalone Collection patterns, or browse only printed patterns? Simple filters let you narrow things down exactly how you want, or you can use the navigation bar to jump directly to what you’re after.
Search Like a Pro
Want to find the perfect dress pattern? Or maybe you’re looking for something special for evening wear, or need nursing-friendly options? You can now find patterns by garment type and quickly find exactly what you’re looking for. Not only that, but you can also browse by skill level, format (PDF or Print), size range, occasion or even by special collections.
Within our new garment categories, we even have helpful sub-categories like fit-and-flare dresses, maxi dresses and wrap dresses, so you can narrow down your search to find your dream pattern.
Product Pages That Help
We’ve also improved our product pages to give you all the information you need in one place, whether you’re contemplating a new pattern or in the middle of a project and looking for more info. You’ll now see:
- All the related help for each pattern (video sewalongs, tutorials, etc.)
- FAQs answered right there on the page
- All your fabric and notions requirements clearly laid out
- Which patterns mix and match with others for lots of interchangeable options.
No more clicking around multiple pages to find what you need!
New Look, Same Cashmerette
Ten years ago, I had no idea that my lightbulb moment while brushing my teeth—”Why isn’t anyone making sewing patterns for the majority of us?”—would grow into the community it has become. Honestly, when we release patterns like the Symmes Strapless Bra, the Ellington Dress, and the Glover Jean Jacket, I’m still amazed at what my team and I have been able to create together.
Your support, your feedback, and your incredible makes are what have made all of this possible. Have a nosey around the new site and let me know what you think! And if you find anything broken or hit a dead end… feel free to let us know. Even the best makeovers have the occasional wonky moment.

I have been involved in re-designing websites in the past, it’s a lot of work and many times the team isn’t totally understanding the needs and perspectives of the end user. This isn’t on propose it’s just the nature of the work. I’ve run through the new site on an IPad, IPhone, Samsung phone, an older laptop and an ancient PC. At first I had a bit of a panic finding my course, but after I calmed a bit I found it just fine, a minor learning curve. This reboot has covered many of the previous frustrations I’ve had. Congratulations, a job very well done.

The new website is great! The downloads of the patterns is so much better! Thank you so much for going through all this trouble for us. I’ve been around since you originally started the blog, Cashmerette, with a former roommate, I believe. I thought you so brave when you sewed your green coat. NOW look at you! Not only your own pattern company, but you’ve produced a number of coat patterns, also!
I can’t begin to say how happy I am for your success and for the wonderful patterns you have created for our use. It’s magical. I just sewed up my Tobin sweater last weekend, finally. It looked so complicated, but it was way easy. I wish I had time to sew all the things!
