Don’t just take our word about the Rhinecliff—here’s how seven amazing sewists made this pattern their own:
Kacy’s Rhinecliff Overalls
Kicking things off is Kacy, who made her Rhinecliff in a cotton twill. We love how her overalls turned out, and she does too! Here’s what Kacy told us:
“I am over the moon. I have never had a pair of overalls fit me like these. Between my short height, the disparity between my top and bottom sizes and my bust size buying a ready to wear pair of overalls was always out of the question. I can move completely freely and comfortably and I have loved having the option of wearing them alternatively with the bib down as a more relaxed option as the trousers and waist fits me so well I finally feel like the cool 90’s girl I always wanted to be.”
With a 36″ (92 cm) high bust, 43″ (108 cm) full bust, 32″ (81 cm) waist, and 42″ (107 cm) hips, Kacy made a size 10 G/H at the bodice and bib, grading to a 12 at the hips. She’s already planning a cropped shorts version for the Australian summer!

Lisa’s Rhinecliff Overalls
Lisa’s overalls are pure plaid perfect! She took on the challenge of matching plaid print for the first time, and totally nailed it.
With measurements of 44″ (112 cm) high bust, 50″ (127 cm) full bust, 48″ (122 cm) waist, and 50″ (127 cm) hips, Lisa made a size 20 G/H graded to 24 at the waist and back to 22 at the hip. She loves all the pockets and plans to style her overalls with white or red turtlenecks and bulky knit scarves for winter. Her advice echoes what so many Cashmerette sewists discover: “Trust your measurements and the Cashmerette size chart.”

Christina’s Rhinecliff Overalls
Christina turned her Rhinecliff into a brilliant pinafore! She combined the Rhinecliff’s darted bib with the Cashmerette Kineton Dress‘s skirt, modifying the skirt front to be flat like the Rhinecliff and adding all the width to the gathered back.
With measurements of 49″ (124 cm) high bust, 54″ (137 cm) full bust, 48″ (122 cm) waist, and 30″ (76 cm) hips, Christina made a size 24 G/H graded to 28 at the waist for the bib portion, then used a size 30 Kineton skirt gathered to 28.
The result? A stunning petrol blue pinafore in soft cotton twill that she’s styled with a striped Eustis Top and thick tights for “snuggly casual autumn vibes.”
Christina’s top tip: “If there’s part of a pattern you adore and another part you’re not sure about, it’s always worth thinking about how you can hack it to make the garment you want.”

Flavia’s Rhinecliff Overalls
For her overalls, Flavia chose an adorable cherry-print cotton drill for her main fabric with a cheerful cotton gingham lining. She was particularly impressed by the innovative darted bib, telling us, “How’s this even possible!”
With a 39″ (99 cm) high bust, 42″ (107 cm) full bust, 34″ (86 cm) waist, and 47″ (119 cm) hips, Flavia made a size 14 C/D cup, grading to 16 from the waist down. The overalls look amazing, and the fantastic fit is truly the cherry on top!

Kristen’s Rhinecliff Overalls
Kristen cropped her overalls at thigh length, leaving the hem raw to fray over time for that perfect lived-in look. Made in medium/heavy denim, her shorts are styled with a bucket hat, long socks, and sneakers for major cool-girl vibes.
With measurements of 38.5″ (98 cm) high bust, 41.5″ (105 cm) full bust, 34″ (86 cm) waist, and 43″ (109 cm) hips, Kristen made a size 14 C/D.

Emily’s Rhinecliff Overalls
Emily says she feels like a train conductor in the best way in her striped cotton/spandex stretch denim Rhinecliff Overalls! With a 37″ (94 cm) high bust, 40″ (102 cm) full bust, 34″ (86 cm) waist, and 46″ (117 cm) hips, Emily graded from a size 12 C/D to a size 14 for the waist and then size 16 for her hips. She plans to style her striped beauty simply with a white tee or tank and sneakers, letting the fabric be the star.
Here’s what Emily told us about her Rhinecliff: “I love it! I don’t own any overalls because I never liked how they fit me. These fit so perfectly.”

Lauren’s Rhinecliff Overalls
For her overalls, Lauren hacked the Rhinecliff into a wide-leg capri version in a mushroom-print cotton/linen duck canvas. To add more room at the bust, she draped and pinned the bib to get the darts exactly right, and the resulting fit is fantastic!
With a 46″ (117 cm) high bust, 55″ (140 cm) full bust, 46″ (117 cm) waist, and 55″ (140 cm) hips, Lauren made a size 22 G/H with a 3″ full bust adjustment grading to a 26 at the waist and hip.
