The Willowdale Bra

The Willowdale Bra was the first bra pattern we released! It’s a full frame underwire bra with a 4-piece cup design for vital support and lift in a beautifully rounded shape. It includes full lace and half lace options, lined cups with enclosed seams, a power mesh back and adjustable straps.
The Willowdale has been a huge hit since we released it, and it’s easy to see why. When you have a bra that actually fits (and that you made yourself!), everything in life becomes that much easier. It really is the essential piece for any lingerie drawer.

The Loftus Bralette

Following the success of the Willowdale, we wondered if we could make an equally amazing bra, but without any underwires! It was a challenge, but at last the Loftus Bralette was born.
The Loftus is a non-wired bra sewing pattern for big boobs. The 3-piece non-stretch cups provide lift and a rounded shape, while the internal powerbar and wide lower band add maximum support. A center insert offers two coverage options to help you customize your bralette without sacrificing on shape, lift, or fit.

The Symmes Strapless Bra

When we set out to design the Symmes Strapless Bra, we honestly didn’t know if we could do it because traditional strapless bras don’t tend to work well for big boobs. But after many many iterations, we cracked the code on strapless bras for big boobs!
The Symmes is built for serious support with vertical underwires, 4-pieces cups, and angled boning throughout to keep everything comfortably in place.

The Somerville Sports Bra

The Somerville Sports Bra is the newest pattern to join our collection of bra patterns! This underwired sports bra delivers remarkable support in 120+ sizes from 28C to 54J. The front zip makes getting in and out easy, while two back options including a sporty cut-out design let you choose your own style.
Finally, a sports bra designed for full busts that gives you the support you deserve!
So how do the bras compare?
Let’s put it all together! Here’s a side-by-side view of the Willowdale, Loftus, and Symmes.

All three patterns provide beautiful shaping, with the Willowdale providing the roundest shaping all around. The Loftus maximizes comfort, and while the Symmes does add some fullness, it does so while breaking all the laws of physics!

Can I use the Symmes band with the Willowdale cup, to maximize support?
No, they are not interchangeable. But you could add boning to the Willowdale band!
First, super appreciate you sharing the actual struggle. Makes all my experiences less of a frustration seeing y’all going through the same.
Could you do like a Symmes 2.0 that kicks the underwire (okay so not a Symmes but next!) and extends down my belly that needs a hug, go so far down that maybe my hips could be part of providing lift to the heavy jugs? Yeah that’s a corset. But eventually my goal is side lacing because that’s where the expansion happens and then back around to adding that to any bra – side expansion, lacing. Because we expand about 4 inches around the torso in the afternoon; it’s why we chuck the bra upon arriving home.
I love the Loftus bra. I have made 3 now and being a 30J it fits and is so comfortable. My only problem is getting the fabric and elastic.
Any suggestions of suppliers in the UK.
I have also made the Willow Dale but this is not as comfortable to wear.
I think my next project will be your new sports bra.
Congratulations on these patterns for us curvy none standard people 😊😊😊
