Do you wish you could spend less time fitting and more time coming up with fabulous new garment ideas and bringing them to life? Then I have some great news for you—Cashmerette Sloper School is back! Enroll by April 27, 2025 to learn how to make and use the well-fitting sloper you’ve always wanted.
What if you could create clothes that fit like a dream—without spending hours on adjustments? This is where a custom-fit sloper comes in: Fit it to your body once, then use it to sew perfectly fitting garments again and again!
Over 2,700 students joined us for our first ever session of Sloper School last spring, and now here’s your chance to create your own well-fitting sloper with personal from the Cashmerette team.
What is a sloper?
Imagine a sloper as your personal blueprint, crafted just for you (and by you!), with your unique measurements and curves. Fit a pattern to your body once, and then turn it into a wardrobe of possibilities. That’s what you can do with a sloper—and we’re here to help you make and use your sloper!
How does Sloper School work?
In Sloper School, you’ll join a cohort of sewists from around the world for an 11-week session where you’ll learn to make and use your sloper together in real time.
Enrollment is only open for a limited time, but once you’ve joined, you’ll have access the content forever! So if you’re not available for the full 11 weeks, or if you have to stop midway, you can come back and continue on at any time.
Here’s how Sloper School works:
Start with the Wyman Sloper (and skip the drafting)
You’ll receive a free pattern when you enroll: the Wyman Dress Sloper, a fitting sloper pattern designed for curves. The Wyman is an instant-download PDF pattern (in print-at-home and A0 formats) for a fitted dress in sizes 0-32 and cup sizes C-H that we’ve designed specifically to be used as as the starting point for your custom-fit sloper. The Wyman has special fitting-friendly features, and best of all, you don’t need to learn how to pattern draft from scratch.
Master your sloper fit with 1:1 help
Each week, I’ll show you how to fit a specific area of the sloper to your body—shoulders, bust, arms, waist, and so on—in a detailed video lesson released at the beginning of the week. I’ll share advanced fitting techniques (beyond the standard adjustments), demonstrating on three models so that you can see how it actually looks in practice.
Throughout Sloper School, you’ll get personal help from me and the Cashmerette team on your fitting challenges, both in live Fit Clinics hosted on Zoom and in our community forum, where you can ask us questions directly and get help anytime. Whatever fitting challenges you encounter along your sloper journey, we’re here to help!
Learn how to use your sloper
Once your sloper is fitting well, I’ll take you through exactly how to use your sloper to save you time in the future, and unleash your creativity. I’ll cover both how to use your sloper pieces to assess the pieces of a new pattern and make adjustments, and, how to hack your sloper to create an infinite array of garments that you can guarantee will fit.
Better together
Best of all—you don’t have to do it alone! You’ll be joining a community of curvy sewists from around the world who are on the same fitting journey, and who are learning together and helping each other with any fitting challenge you can imagine.
What our students are saying
I loved reading end-of-course survey from our 2024 cohort, where students like Marcia told me that “after 50 years of sewing, I’m finally learning how to sew clothing that fits!” Or hearing from students like Susan, who described Sloper School as “Energizing, engaging. I felt seen which I rarely do when shopping!”

Is Sloper School for me?
You will LOVE Sloper School if…
- You are tired of spending tons of time fitting new patterns when you could be designing or sewing
- You’ve struggled to learn to fit, because you need to go beyond the “standard” adjustments covered in most books and tutorials
- You’ve found it hard to learn to fit alone, and want personal feedback from a fitting expert (that’s me!), and to be able to get support from other people going through the same process
- You’ve tried to make a sloper but given up because most traditional “draft it yourself” techniques don’t work well for curvy or busty bodies
- You like the idea of making a custom-fit sloper, but you don’t understand how to use it to make other patterns, or adjust new patterns to fit
Still not sure if Sloper School is right for you? Here’s an excerpt from Sloper School to give you a taste of what you can expect:
What’s different this year?
After an incredible first session of Sloper School, we’ve spent the year refining our approach to make the Sloper School experience even better. Here’s what’s new in the upcoming session:
- Enhanced fundamentals focus: We’ve expanded the early lessons to ensure that you start with the best starting size(s) and initial adjustments for you. This stronger foundation makes the entire fitting journey both smoother and more enjoyable.
- Increased personalized feedback: You’ll never fit alone! We’ve improved the process of providing you with timely personal feedback to help you at every step.
- Expanded fit guidance: We’ve developed new lessons addressing specific fit issues you might encounter.
If you joined us for last year’s Sloper School, you can certainly enroll again! You can either continue refining your existing sloper or start fresh if your measurements have changed or you weren’t completely satisfied with your previous sloper.
When does Sloper School start?
This session of Sloper School kicks off on April 28, 2025 and runs through July 11, 2025.
But enrollment closes on April 27th, so sign up today!
I’m so excited to support you on your sloper journey, and I hope I’ll see you in Sloper School!
