See what our community is making with this month’s Club-exclusive pattern: the Winvale Dress & Tunic.
For me, sewing is about freedom. Freedom to wear styles that others say won’t “work” for my body. Freedom to create clothes that reflect my personality, rather than settling for what’s in stores. So when I set out to create this month’s Club pattern, I wanted to make a super wearable, on-trend style that actually works for my body type. The result? The Winvale Dress and Tunic!
As always, the best part is seeing you make it your own. Whether you go for dark and romantic or bold and playful, the Winvale is a canvas for your style—and these community makes are all the proof you need. Let’s take a look!
About the Pattern
The Winvale Dress & Tunic is a modern take on the classic shirtdress, tailored especially for curves. You’ll fall in love with its thoughtful details, like the swooping hem and the back tie for adjustable waist shaping. Like the name suggests, it has two length options! It also works with the Vernon Shirt, Selwyn Top, and Swanton Blouse for even more ways to play with customization.
The Winvale Dress & Tunic comes in sizes 0–32, and cup sizes C–H, and it’s exclusively available to Cashmerette Club members. Not a member yet? Join today at the All Access level and get the Winvale instantly.
Suzy’s Winvale Dress & Tunic
Suzy shared not one—but two!—fabulous Winvale makes. Her creations show off the pattern’s two length options, as well as Suzy’s incredible style.
Where do we begin? Maybe with the way Suzy played with the direction of the stripes on her tunic. Or, maybe with that peekaboo contrast print on her coral dress’ undercollar! Either way, I’m positively obsessed.
Suzy’s measurements:
- High bust: 33” (85 cm)
- Full bust: 35” (90 cm)
- Waist: 28” (72 cm)
- Hips: 38” (96 cm)
Suzy made a size 6 C/D. Here’s what she had to share:
“So many interesting details that make it an elevated basic. A very well thought out pattern. The other thing is the fit—usually, if I want an oversize shirt it swamps me as I have narrow shoulders and back, but a C/D cup. With the Winvale, the proportions are right.”

Martha’s Winvale Tunic
Anyone else get a jolt of joy, or just me? Martha used cotton shirting to make this stylish Winvale Tunic. I love how Martha’s make looks equally amazing on its own, or layered under a knit sweater. And the bias-cut button placket? Such a lovely touch.
Martha shared that the fit is amazing, and her favorite part of sewing her Winvale was the collar. “This came together perfectly.”
Martha’s measurements:
- High bust: 46” (117 cm)
- Full bust: 50” (127 cm)
- Waist: 47” (119 cm)
- Hips: 60” (152 cm)
Martha made a size 22 C/D graded to a 26 waist and 30 hip, and used the full bicep sleeve.

Bri’s Winvale Dress
Bri’s Winvale is giving romantic, moody, and sophisticated—all at once! And styled with those sheer tights and cognac mid-calf boots? Such a chic moment. I, for one, am taking styling notes.
Bri’s measurements:
- High bust: 40” (102 cm)
- Full bust: 43” (109 cm)
- Waist: 34” (86 cm)

Bri made a size 14 E/F and used the View A sleeve from the Vernon Shirt (which mixes & matches with the Winvale!). She shared:
“I’m so happy with the fit! I’ve never had a woven long sleeved dress fit me so well across the bust, back and shoulders – let alone a shirtdress! I love my Winvale dress so much! It feels like the perfect combination of put together, professional and cottagecore witch.”

Shelley’s Winvale Dress
Shelley is an absolute vision in her Winvale Dress. With its paisley print, her make looks like a glamorous vintage gem you’d be lucky to stumble upon in a boutique.
Shelley shared:

Shelley’s measurements:
- High bust: 51” (130 cm)

Raquel’s Winvale Dress
The colors are gorgeous in their own right. But Raquel’s strategic placement of this border print? Perfection. Raquel’s Winvale Dress is the epitome of joy! And she didn’t just get creative with her design but with her styling, too—wearing it as a dress and a duster.
Raquel’s measurements:
- High bust: 35” (89 cm)
- Full bust: 36.5” (93 cm)
- Waist: 33” (84 cm)

Sinikiwe’s Winvale Dress
Sinikwe brought her Winvale to life in the prettiest black-and-white print, creating a gorgeous shirtdress that fits perfectly and styles effortlessly.
Sinikwe shared that her favorite part of the process was trying her hand at a couple of new techniques. “It was my first time doing a sleeve placket and a split button band.”
And how does she feel about the end result? “I love it very much! I like the fit and am very pleased with it.”
Sinikiwe’s measurements:
- High bust: 42” (107 cm)
- Full bust: 45” (114 cm)
