Your Club Makes: 5 Creative Kimball Bomber Jackets

The Kimball Bomber Jacket is the first ever Cashmerette Club pattern, and it’s been so fun seeing Kimballs popping up in the sewing community! Here are 5 creative Kimballs to get you inspired to sew your own bomber.

The Kimball Bomber Jacket is a curve-friendly bomber jacket sewing pattern in sizes 0-32 and cup sizes C-H. You can get it for as little as $9 a month when you join Cashmerette Club right now. (Joining after February 2022? You’ll need to join at the All Access level to get the Kimball.)

Trude’s Kimball

Trude made a Kimball that stopped us in our tracks. She used a quilt made of old jeans for the front and a pillowcase for the back. Such an impressive make—and with such speed!

You can see more of Trude’s makes on Instagram at @kleertjesmaker.

Amanda’s Kimball

Amanda made a retro Kimball inspired by boots she owns. She used velvet with sequins for the main body and scuba for the bands, and she whipped it up just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Bryttakes’s Kimball

Bryttakes used a bold floral print with contrast bands for her Kimball. It’s a perfect pairing!

Jen’s Kimballs

Okay, full disclosure: Jen is our pattern development manager here at Cashmerette, so she had a bit of a head start. But she whipped up both of her Kimballs within the last few weeks, so still an impressive feat! She made one with a floral jacquard (leftovers from a recent Upton Dress sample) and a second with Melton wool and quilting cotton.

You can see more of what Jen’s working on on Instagram at @solecrafter.

Are you feeling inspired to give the Kimball a try? We have fabric and notions recommendations over in this post, so raid your stash or order what you need and then let’s start sewing!

Don’t have the Kimball yet? Join Cashmerette Club today to get it, along with other sewing and fitting goodies every month.

So great to see these finished Kimballs! They’re all amazing but I think Trude knocked it out of the park with hers (we should have asked to show it on the call yesterday).
I’m (more or less) patiently waiting for my fabric from Core Fabrics for mine.

Great job everyone! Did anyone line their jackets? I haven’t done much yet – family in town at the moment. But, I would like to line it when I get back to work.

Let me know what you think!
