Hi, I received my hard copy of the book and wondering how I can access the digital pattern files?
Thank you,
Paulette
I was so excited to try the patterns and apply the different altercations, I steeped the information I was looking for.
Sorry,
Paulette
My lovely hubby gave me a copy of Ahead of the Curve for Christmas. It looks amazing and so clearly explained. I love sewing my own clothes but really struggle with fitting tops. So I was really disappointed to find that I am just below the size range for the beautiful patterns inside the book. According to your size calculator I am a 12D bust, 14 Waist and 10 hip. I think I can manage grading down a few sizes on the hips but don’t even know where to start on bodices…i would be so grateful for any advice!
Hi Zoe – the good news is, you do fit in the bodice sizing! The book patterns come in US sizes 12 – 32 (UK 16 – 36), and you’re a 12 C/D (US) according to the calculator, so simply make the 12 C/D as it is in the book.
For the hip, for most dresses, or garments with negative ease, you can likely get away without grading and simply making a 12 – in a skirt you’ll just have a bit more swoosh than intended.
I’m still looking for a pdf of the patterns in AHEAD OF THE CURVE. I tried tracing and ended up with a mess. Thank you! Ellen Rumpff
Hi Ellen – go to the section “How to use this book” and is has a link and password to download the PDF patterns.
