I did pre-order on Amazon and it says it won’t be shipped until mid-November. Any idea why they would be holding it? I haven’t had luck cancelling a preorder with them so I’m not sure I want to cancel and then order through normal channels.
I’m very much looking forward to reading it and using the patterns!

I pre-ordered (horrible phrase) via Amazon UK when the book was announced. It arrived on 14 October – right on time!
I am still tracing out my patterns, hopefully I will get more time to ‘play’ soon. Looking forward to getting some sewing time.
I am so excited. I have never bought a sewing book online before. I live in South Africa, so both our exchange rate and the fact that Amazon postage results in items costing double the price of what is already an investment item for me mean that I have resisted so far. The moment I saw “Ahead of the Curve”, I knew I wanted it desperately, but the difficulties persisted. Then came this blog, so I went to the Book Depository as suggested and now I am waiting for its delivery. I am ecstatic!
