Since then, the Montrose has become one of our most popular woven patterns and we’re thrilled to make it available to even more sewists going forward.

The Montrose Top is now available in our dual size ranges, 0-16 and 12-32 (sold separately) with cups C-H included in both ranges. You can get either size range as an instant download PDF pattern or as a beautifully printed pattern that ships anywhere in the world.

Carrie measures 34″ high bust, 37″ full bust, 29″ waist, and 39″ hip. She’s 5′ 4″ and is wearing a size 8 C/D.
Suzi measures 33″ high bust, 37″ full bust, 28″ waist, and 38″ hips. She’s 5′ 6″ and is wearing a size 6 E/F.
Faith measures 34″ high bust, 37″ full bust, 32″ waist, and 44″ hips. She’s 5′ 5″ and is wearing a size 8 C/D graded to a 12 waist and 14 hips.

The Ideal Woven Tee Pattern for Curves

The Montrose Top‘s design is simple with thoughtful details. It’s specifically designed for curves with the Cashmerette signature multi-cup sizing, bust darts, and side seam shaping. Say goodbye to woven tops that squash your boobs or hang off your shoulders—who needs ’em when you have a tee pattern designed with your body in mind?

The Montrose is now available in sizes 0-16 and 12-32, with cups C-H in both ranges. Additionally, the 12-32 range includes standard and full bicep sleeve options to make sleeve fitting a breeze.

Ali measures 48″ full bust, 40″ waist, and 53″ hip. She is wearing a size 20 C/D graded to a 24 in the hips.
Michelle measures 55” bust, 50” waist, and 60” hip. She’s 5’ 7” and is wearing a size 28 C/D graded to a 30 in the waist and hips.

View A of the Montrose Top features a gentle scoop neck, and curved back yoke, with a gently gathered back panel. It comes with a short sleeve, but you can interchange any of the sleeves (short, elbow-length, standard, full-bicep) with either view.

View B is designed for luxe fabrics! We’re big fans of sheer overlay garments, and View B was designed with them in mind, with a jewel neckline, elbow-length sleeves, and a simple back with a keyhole opening at the top. You can also mix and match the fronts and backs to your heart’s desire, and although this view was designed for sheers, you can use opaque fabrics, too.

Jenny measures 43″ high bust, 48″ full bust, 41″ waist, and 48″ hip. She is 5’ 6” and is wearing a size 18 G/H (she didn’t grade at the waist because the Montrose has generous positive ease at the waist).

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It…

Ever since we released the Montrose, we’ve heard from dozens of makers about how much they enjoy making and wearing the Montrose. Here’s what a few of had to say about this pattern, in their own words:

The perfect tee. This was my first Cashmerette pattern, and I was super impressed. I’ve made several, and find myself wearing one multiple days a week.”
-Martha

Amazing pattern. I love this pattern, the fit is amazing, the instructions are well written and it is very hackable. I’ve made a couple already and have more planned.”
-Denise

I love this pattern. I’m a beginner sewist and turned to this pattern after trying out a few straight-sized top patterns that just didn’t work for my body (especially my I cup and otherwise size 10/12 top half), even with my novice attempts at an FBA. The Montrose pattern changed things. It validated one of my primary reasons for teaching myself to sew in the first place (to make clothes that actually fit my body), and I love that the pattern produces shirts that both fit well and show off gorgeous fabrics. I’ve made a bunch now (with various sleeve details, including petal sleeves which look great), and when I can’t get bust sizing on other patterns to work for me, I just plunk the Montrose bust piece in and adapt the other pattern from there. I highly recommend this pattern (especially for beginner sewists), and I can’t wait to make more. Thanks for making clear, thoughtful patterns that work for so many different bodies!”
-Laura

Great basic and more! What more needs to be said—I picked my cup size, printed the full bicep sleeve, graded out to my hips and I now have a TNT pattern that I’ll use over and over again. So simple to fit because Jenny has done all the work for me!

Looks like the discount code isn’t working for my order of the PDF pattern?

  2. Bec says:

Gorgeous! love the lace sample you’ve made. I think this would look great with the Ellis skirt! Any chance the 0-12 size range will be ready for it soon too?? (Fingers crossed!)

    1. Ayelet says:

Hi Bec, the Ellis Skirt isn’t on our immediate list for size expansion, but I will share your request with the team as we look at future patterns!
