Now in sizes 12-32: Ames Jeans & Ellis Skirt

Denim lovers—get excited because the Cashmerette Ames Jeans and Ellis Skirt sewing patterns are now available in more sizes! These patterns now include sizes 12-32 in PDF, and we will be updating the printed patterns as soon as we’re able.

Denim is timeless, and stretch denim keeps you comfortable no matter what your pandemic lifestyle is. We’re thrilled to announce that both the Ames Jeans and Ellis Skirt patterns are now available up to a size 32 in apple and pear pelvis fits, which means even more curvy sewists can make jeans and denim skirts that fit their curves and their style.

Char is wearing the Ames Jeans in a size 30, pear fit with straight legs (paired with a sequined Montrose Top). Her measurements are 49” waist and 60.5” hip and she is 5’ 7”.
Michelle is wearing an Ellis Skirt in a size 28, apple fit in view B (paired with a Pembroke Tunic turtleneck). Her measurements are 48″ waist and 58″ hip.

Already own the Ames or the Ellis? If you have previously purchased a PDF copy directly from us, you’ll receive the updated pattern automatically in your inbox. If you purchased a printed copy directly from us, you can email us at hello@cashmerette.com with your order number and we’ll send you the updated PDF files.

The Ames Jeans

Make a date with denim in the classic and versatile Ames Jeans! The Ames are designed with your curves in mind and include two pelvis fits: apple and pear. Mix and match the pelvis fits with straight or skinny legs for your ideal pair of stretch denim jeans.

The Ames Jeans include all the features that you love in a pair of jeans, like rivets, belt loops and a fly front. A pocket stay provides comfortable secret smooth shaping.

If it’s your first time sewing a pair of Ames Jeans, check out this blog post to learn how to pick your pelvis fit, and this video tutorial on how to sew a fly front.

Want even more help with your Ames? Sew your jeans right alongside Jenny in our Jeans Making for Curves workshop, which you can stream on any device at any time—and even ask our team questions right in the lessons. This workshop includes a free copy of the Ames Jeans pattern, or a different Cashmerette pattern of your choosing if you already own the Ames.

The Ellis Skirt

When we asked Cashmerette fans about their favorite type of skirt to wear, you all overwhelmingly said denim skirts–and thus, the Ellis Skirt was born!

The Ellis features two views: a classic 5-pocket denim skirt or a flirty miniskirt with diagonal pockets. We’ve included our popular pelvis fit options—apple and pear—plus shaped seams, back darts, a sculpted yoke and waistband, and a full front pocket stay for the ideal fit for curves. Sew it up in a stretch denim or a number of other stretch wovens, like twill or corduroy.

Awesome. I’ve graded my original pattern and made jeans from it twice, but it will be nice to compare.

I don’t have a receipt. Any confirmation of the order was deleted long ago. Can you trace my order by using my email? Thanks.
