Introducing the Tobin Sweater Sewing Pattern!

Whether temperatures are cooling down or warming up where you live, layering pieces are a must this time of year. Enter, the  Tobin Sweater , the first curvy and plus size sweater sewing pattern from Cashmerette! Cozy up all season long with this warm and stylish sweater which has three totally different looks!

We’ve been working on creating more mix-and-match separates for Cashmerette Patterns, so we’re thrilled to finally introduce a sweater to our range. As always, the Tobin is designed for curves in sizes 12 to 28 and cup sizes C – H, and has bust darts and side seam shaping for a curve-friendly fit. Three neckline options, color-blocking, and cuffs allow you to mix and match fabrics to whip up your perfect sweater—or to keep it simple for a classic sweatshirt look. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned sewist, we hope you’ll find the Tobin Sweater fun and easy to sew.

Plus, save 15% on any of our limited-edition boiled wool blend Tobin Sweater kits—keep reading to learn how!

Caroline measures 43″ bust, 37″ waist, 42″ hips and is wearing View C in a size 14 E/F.

There are three views of the Tobin Sweater sewing pattern and all have bodice darts for a fantastic bust fit, in cup sizes C/D, E/F, and G/H.

View A features a stylish split funnel neck and cuffs, decorated with oversized buttons—and not a single buttonhole required! Play with fabric pairings for a fun color-blocked look.

Renee is wearing View A in teal and black and white striped ponte with 1” (2.5 cm) black buttons.

View B features a cozy cowl neck and a curved high-low hemline. Choose a thicker structured knit fabric for a more dramatic neckline effect—our boiled wool blend kits are a perfect choice!

Caroline is wearing View B in a deep plum boiled wool blend.

View C features a faced neckline, cuffs, and color-blocking. Sew it up a thick knit for a classic sweatshirt look, or opt for jersey to make a cozy long-sleeved tee!

Caroline is wearing View C in dusty pink and gray stretch terry.

Tobin Sweater Kits for 15% Off!

We are so excited about the Tobin Sweater that we went a little overboard with FOUR new boiled wool blend kits, available in four luscious colors—we still can’t believe how vibrant they are! This boucle-textured boiled wool blend knit fabric is lighter than traditional wool and drapes beautifully, making for an ideal layering piece you can wear all year long. And it’s easier to handle and sew than traditional wool or highly stretchy fabrics!

Our newsletter subscribers got first dibs on these kits yesterday, and two colorways have already sold out! If you want to be the first to find out about new patterns and kits in the future, make sure to sign up for the newsletter.

Looks fabulous. I really loved that you included biceps adjustment pattern piece with the Montrose. Is there one with this?

    1. Ayelet says:

We don’t have full bicep option for this pattern, since it’s made with knit fabric which is more accommodating than a woven. But if you find that the arms are tighter than you’d like, here’s a tutorial for doing a full bicep adjustment: https://blog.cashmerette.com/2016/10/tutorial-how-to-make-sleeves-larger.html

Thanks very much for reply. I’ll look at that cos I usually need biceps adjustment even on knits.

Let me know what you think!
