Wrap dress sewalong

Ever wanted to make a wrap dress of your own? Or turn into a complete obsessive and make ALL THE WRAP DRESSES?!

Then you’re in luck. Over September and October I’ll be hosting a “Wrapalong” (see what I did there?!) over on the Curvy Sewing Collective. We’ll be making a classic wrap dress, and the sewalong will be suitable for all body types, whether you’re curvy or not.

It kicks off today and there will be a few posts on patterns, fabric and supplies, and then the sewing starts September 29. There will also be prizes for some lucky wrapalongers… Head on over!

Ha… I am totally doing this. I actually was just about to start a wrap dress and have the fabric washed and ready to go already.

  2. Dammit I’m a fortnight too early! Never mind, I’ll enjoy reading the tips and tricks anyway!

I have a wrap dress planned for fall, but in a warm fabric, so I was planning to wait a bit. It’s so hot right now! September 29 sounds perfect. My fabric is a stretch woven though.

Ooh, fun! I have a wrap-dress on my to-sew list!

I have a question, can it be a mock wrap dress for the contest or does it actually have to be a genuine wrap dress?
The only reason I ask is because I do not like to wear items that open when I walk.

    1. Jenny says:

It can be a fixed or regular wrap dress!

Sounds like fun! I have one ready to go!
